Hard Men of Ventoux - Price £349
Mont Ventoux is a legendary mountain, we love it! Its geographical situation is quite unique and it sticks proudly up over the provence and can be seen from miles away. It is the mountain that has many tales, and one that Froome decided to run up.
There are 3 ways up Mont Ventoux, all with their own characteristics. Doing one ascent is difficult but not a challenge for all our regulars, therefore we are proposing a weekend to scale all three sides. You will then become a "Hard Man of Ventoux" (or woman). This challenge is not new, it is established and in each starting village (Bedoin, Sault and Malaucene) you can get a stamp which proves your worth.
We will be on hand with our support van to make this challenge that little bit easier and so that if you do have a technical, you don't have to do a Froomey!
We will be having a short warm up cycle on the Friday evening, a slightly longer ride on Saturday and the main event on Sunday.
On first sight, Mont Ventoux is difficult to get to, it is stuck out in the provence away from major airports. However, there is a direct train to Avignon from London with the Eurostar and it is reasonably priced and quick. You also do not have to pay for bike carriage like on a plane! We are therefore proposing that you book these trains...
